The Island of Malta

Malta situated in the heart of the Mediterranean, 60 miles from Sicily, has attracted visitors from St. Paul to Napoleon. Closely associated with Britain you can find legacies of that rule including the traditional red telephone box. English is commonly used throughout the island.

Mellieha Holiday Centre
The holiday complex overlooks Mellieha Bay on the north end of the island and is approx. 35 minutes from Malta/Luqa Airport. The resort is one of the quietest and under-developed on this island. There are a number of shops, bars and restaurants scattered along the bay. The area along the beach has had no major development and for this reason there are few dropped kerbs but the road is wide and relatively flat.

The lovely complex consists of a central reception block, swimming pool, mini-market, bar, Chinese restaurant, Pizzeria, laundry, children's play-area and mini-golf. The accommodation consists of bungalows set amidst Olive and Pine groves, covered with Bougainvilleas, Camellias, Frangipani and many other beautiful flowers. The majority of clients staying in the resort are Danish.

The house has its own enclosed courtyard with an outside dining area and loungers. There is also a roof top sunbathing area (not accessible). Towels and linen changed every 7 days.

A car or a minivan (not adapted) is included in the price of the holiday. Fuel extra.
